Luggage for the Journey

I feel very accomplished! I'm finally getting off my honeymoon butt and diving headfirst into Getting-to-Germany mode!

Friday we took a trip to Macy's because they had awesome deals on luggage. (background info) We are flying on Singapore airlines so we are able to take 2 big suitcases each and a carryon. Well, I had none and Jesse was short a big one. (back to our trip to Macy's) After about an hour of searching through the whole luggage section of Macy's we found the perfect set! I got a set of five different sizes for like 75% off! It has two big ones, a carry on, and two small bags. Its perfect. Jesse got a huge Samsonite for like 80% off! We were so blessed to find such great deals!

Today was awesome, we got tons done. We sent in our passports to be renewed today and organized and packaged all our stuff for storage and Germany. It took all day. The outcome? The feeling you get when everything is organized and perfectly in order....bliss. Seriously though, it feels great to have everything set and in order for when we leave.

Living in my parents basement has been such a blessing! As soon as Jesse masterfully put up a wall and door, it felt like home :) We have such a cozy little home! I love having my own little place, even if it is a place within a place :) I was thinking that this couldn't possibly be an adventure without being able to say we lived with our parents. Check!

This week, beside spending time with the family for Thanksgiving, we will be getting ready to go up to Massachusetts for a week! We are so excited! We are going to be speaking at a few different churches and staying with a great Pastor friend of ours! I am especially thrilled to see all my friends at Zion :)

Well, thats it for today :) Im tired and I can't really concentrate too much longer with all the boys playing Halo on the bed...you would think they were in a real life battle! Priceless moments <3 I just love spending time with my family. :)

The Next Leg

We are married! Officially Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Comrie :) now THAT brings a huge smile to my face :) Can I just say that I think my wedding was my all time favorite! It was simply perfect...and perfectly simple :) BEST ever <3 God blessed us so much! The weather held off perfectly, the people were such a blessing to us, it was just amazing to see all the people who love and support us be in one place at one time to celebrate our marriage :)

We not only had the best wedding but also the most AMAZING honeymoon :) We went for 3 nights to Uncle Paul's lake house in Joseph, Oregon; 1 night in a beautiful honeymoon cabin in Wallowa Lake; then to a beach house in Cannon Beach for a week :) What a roadtrip! We literally drove from one end of Oregon to the other experiencing everything from fishing and hiking in the mountains, to driving through the wild west with tumbleweeds blowing everywhere, to driving mopeds along the beach and touching sea stars! After that, we had a great reception on the West Coast with the Comrie Family. We were so blessed and I (Hilary) loved meeting his family :)

Now that we are back here, we have remodeled my (Hilary's) parents basement into our little temporary home till our plane takes off on January 15th! We have a lot to do in this time but are climbing this mountain step by step :) What an adventure! We can't WAIT to get back to Germany and ask for your prayers as we prepare spiritually, mentally, and financially in these next couple months :)
